My 3 dogs HATED going to the vet and fought every step of the way. So I started taking them when we really had no reason to go. The vet techs all fussed and cooed over them and gave them treats, then we would just leave. This continued for a few weeks and they all got so they couldn’t wait to get in the door. They even behaved good for the vet, knowing they had something good coming at the end of the visit. They seemed to think a vet’s office is also a snack bar.

Don’t you think for the cat at least but them in a restraining sock. so they can’t move.

i get a kick out of how it takes 2 adults to “kinda” control a 10-15lb cat. lol!

Mine is a lot like the one at 8:40 . But he soon accepts it and stays quiet while inside the room with the vet.
Most of these are really extreme.

I have to carry my Basset Hound girl into the Vet’s office and then hold her while she shakes. She is very shy and does not like strangers at all.

For pets, the vet is like Alien Abduction.

The cats in the nets must be wild cats? In all the time that I worked in a vet clinic it was only the cats that were wild that acted like that. There were maybe two occasions where we had to towel wrap/ muzzle a cat. Small dogs were by FAR the worst.

I tried not to laugh, but some of these pets…@4:23 had that dog looking like hannibal lector. 9:23 that cat looked like it transcended to another plane of existence. snatching them into nets. as a human I hate shots. this would try me if I were in their place. also, I’m guessing you silenced the videos so you don’t get flagged? smart.

the dogs can be made all but harmless with muzzles. Cats, on the other hand, can still do major damage with their claws and the fact they’re so hard to hold.

I notice the Vets have become LAZY!!! Letting the assistants and Techs to get bit, scratched and MAULED! It seems the Vets are there to COLLECT A CHECK…

All this can be easily avoided with a small dose of sedative 2-3 hours before the visit. We do rescue, so we have a *lot* of vet visits, often with terrified animals. Fast them in the morning, give them the sedative, and it’s a whole lot easier on both the animal and the staff….
