I can’t express how much I truly appreciate this video. I recently submitted my VMCAS and supplemental apps, so the waiting game has started. Today is actually the last day to submit apps! Thank you so much for sharing your vet school experiences and for all the helpful advice! Especially about study tips and work opportunities while in vet school. I also want to pursue shelter med/non-profit rescue care in the future. Good luck with the rest of your studies! You’re going to be an amazing vet!! (:

I’m doing everything I can in undergrad to have a good resume and application for veterinary schools, but it’s so easy to get overwhelmed and down on myself. Videos like this are always uplifting! Thank you! <3

how do you manage your time??? lol I’m currently a freshman in college with a major in animal science and am looking at studying abroad opportunities along with international volunteer work in South Africa; the tuition and fees is whats throwing me off of everything but I still have yet to find my way of studying and am stressing OD about it because of all these exams I’ve been taking and I didn’t start off on the right foot since I was procrastinating a bunch my senior year. It’s like I forgot to study and don’t know how to get it back lmao and whenever I try to study I feel as though it’s a waste of time because I’m trying out different things and I end up giving up because of it. Also, I’m taking 4 sciences next semester – idk how to handle this and 16 credits alone just sounds crazy. I have an hourly planner but most of the time it goes to waste since I’m taking up a bunch of time looking into vet schools and stuff like that. Furthermore, when did you take the GRE? I was recommended to take it my spring semester of junior year but idk if I should do it fall. Any advice on any of this?

please keep us updated. I’m interested in every subject you mentioned. shelter medicine, non-profit organization, animal cruelty & forensics. we actually had a lawyer who specifically worked with animal cruelty cases come talk to our class once. basically to inform and encourage more students to get into the field of shelter medicine and fighting animal cruelty cases. been interested ever since and then i come across your videos! crazy how things happen. thank you for your videos 🙂

I’m very interested in applying to vet school, but I’m so nervous that it isn’t able to be done for me. I’m a single mom and by the time I could apply I would have a 5 year old. Do you know anyone who has kids in vet school? Is it able to be done?

So I’ve read a lot from veterinary students to not stress too much about on grades, that in the end even the lowest rank student is going to be a veterinarian and it’s probably more important to balance life and school so you can maintain sanity. However on your video it seems like you’re emphasizing getting good grades more and finding free time when you can. I guess what I’m saying is what is your input on this?

What do you mean by good grades? In general or with courses? Do you think if I have As, and taking honors bio, honors chem, regular physics, and AP bio in high school is good enough? Thanks!
