Veterinary School

Veterinary School

In addition to being a first time mom, I am a veterinary student pursing my doctorate in veterinary medicine. I’ve been asked a lot of questions about veterinary school, the application process, and what it’s like. I talk about where I’m at in the program, how many years I have left, how much it costs, and whether or not I think I can make it. If you have any questions regarding veterinary school don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below!

i want to go to vet school and volunteer to get experience and learn more but my parents think i’m not smart enough to get in and refuse to support my dreams. i told them that experience is just as important as grades but they won’t listen or believe me. what should i do? i can’t see myself doing anything other than helping animals..

Inspiring ,your will to be a mother and finish school with the same passion for your career. I turned 18 in march and am now done with my freshman year at fox valley technical college here in Clintonville ,Wisconsin. I have wanted to become a veterinarian since the end of my 8th grade year many of my counsuelors and my family had questioned me and been very anti go to vet school. And I have devoted my self to keep going and found out where I can go to finish my required and elective courses for admission to UW-Madison. I was admitted into UW-Fox Valley of Menasha ,WI in October of 2016 this past fall and have not taken courses at that campus yet. My main focus is what where some anticipated areas in the admission process that you prepared for well and that you can give me some feedback off of. I am available to transfer to UW-Geenbay and UW-Madison through my admission to UW-Fox Valley. I am of latino decent my parents are both Mexican with pride and joy I was raised into a humble home where rodeo was our passion and is my way of life. What opportunities for me would there be in MN and if I am a b student how much will this impact my acceptance to any Vet School.

Hey, I loved this video and the advices you give. I wanted to ask if you would recommended achieving academic milestones in order to eventually get into vet school or to go straight for it as soon as possible? By milestones I mean: Undergrad AS, Vet Tech, Vet Assistant, Veterinary Nurse, Pre Vet, DVM.
