Veterinary Technician Vs Client

Wow. She smothered her own pet to death, with love.
One of the most annoying types of customers are the “self-taught” aka “I Googled It” aka “I read it on Wikipedia so now I’m an informed expert”
Okay, I will admit, I am occasionally guilty of the, “I looked up X on the internet” when taking my dog or horse to the vet. But, I always do it out of curiosity rather than actual faith in the diagnostic abilities of the internet, and I obviously immediately concede when the vet says I’m wrong. & every time I have been wrong about something when I suggest a possibility to the vet they have been very nice & informative & explained to me why X is not the case and how to tell when X is the case.
Omg, I’m a vet tech and I have to say I laughed my ass off through this whole thing. They really hit the nail on the head with the difficult client stereotype. Love how she felt the need to educate the tech about what Dr. Google taught her.
Haha, got it exactly right with this nightmare client! I’d like to say it’s unbelievable if I hadn’t seen it in our own practice so many times…
Funny ~ “Pets are an extension of your own psychosis”
people just dont know what we as techs go thru. its love all the way. but just need our clients to have commen sence some times
nothing wrong with raw but otherwise lmao accurate
If you want to get your foot in the door, but don’t have any kind of medical background and want something to put on your resume, Career Step http://referral.careerstep.com/ref36530 has a great veterinary assistant program you can do at your own pace in about 3 months. Here is what the curriculum covers:
Examination room procedures
Communication and client relations
Office and hospital procedures
Small and large animal nursing
Pharmacy and pharmacology
Surgical preparation and assisting
Radiology and ultrasound imaging
please make more of these 🙂
this is gold.
These are all TOO accurate. Omg 😂😂😂
