i’m studying vet medicine. I have almost finished my 3rd year in a row and I dream to work with wild and exotic animals in the future, probably in a zoo, safari park or anywhere world wide in the nature 🙂 in this video i missed a part about these animals, anyway it is unusual

Hello! I’m glad you chose becoming a vet as a profession, they tell me it’s a very rewarding job. 🙂 Becoming a vet can be hard because there is so much competition, but as long as you work really hard to get in, you’ll succeed. I think there are 5 veterinary schools in Canada, but there are 28 vet school in the U.S. I suggest you apply to as many as you can so there is a much higher change of getting in. My characters remaining are very limited, so I’ll send you another message with the rest.

Vet schools have different pre-requisites, but you’ll have to take lots of biology, chemistry, and some physics. To become a licensed veterinarian, you need to get excellent grades in college, I suggest you take advanced classes in college because vet schools are highly interested in students who take hard challenging classes. I also suggest you get experience helping at an animal shelter or vet clinic. I hope I helped a bit. Good luck! I know you’ll reach far if you work hard! 🙂

I’m 19 and considering becoming a vet. Ive had a passion for animals since as long as I can remember. I’ve dreamed of living a nice lifestyle in a big nice house near a beach somewhere in california, but I’ve read being a vet only earns with a low middle class status. I truly love animals, but I also want to do very well financially. Whats the estimated salary each year? could I afford a fancy home? what kind of vets are there?

$50,000 for an entry level job is still very good.

Strap your buckles down guys if you want to be a veterinarian. If you’re a straight A student like I was in high school or middle school that’s awesome. There are some classes in college though that will test you further than you ever imagined. Try your hardest and remember it’s never too early to start applying for jobs at veterinary clinics and hospitals and asking for opportunities to shadow at them.
