I suck at math but I’m really good in science. I’m in highschool but when I graduate I’m thinking about going to UC davis for veterinary medicine. Hopefully I make it πŸ™‚

If becoming a vet is something you’re still looking in to, the good news is that no vet school will care about your high school grades. For now, I’d just work on improving your grades in order to get into a good university. From there, you’ll really need outstanding grades to be considered for vet school, but a bad start in high school definitely does not mean you can’t become a vet! πŸ™‚

Hey Raw Dough. You study a wide range of animals in veterinary universities. And then it’s your choice after graduating in which type of animals you want to specialize either its small animals (pets),exotic animals, farm animals and so on.Plus you are very young still. There are many vet students, while on the third year and they have not settled down yet,on what they want to do exactly.I am one of them,so do not worry.you have lots of time to decide.

I am pretty sure that if I make it into a vet school (Although having made it into Vet Enrichment Camp at Texas A&M among 39 others out of 1200 people is a great step) I will probably go into large animals. I am a farm girl and I don’t know as though I could spend my life in a city environment taking care of little animals. I love ’em, but I think that livestock and agricultural setting is more of my area of liking. Although exotics do sound appealing as well.

this is from Australia so it may be different for other people in other countries.

if you wanna become a vet you have to have a passion for animals. study harder in English, science (especially zoology), chemistry and some fair bit of maths. you have to get 97% or high in HSC and the average wage can vary from 40k to even 450k annually.
    hope I helped

I live in California and want to be a vet. I live somewhat close to UC Davis which happens to be one of the best Vet schools in the world (they teacher other things too) the only thing I’m confused about is if As soon as I get out of highschool can I apply there immediately? Or do I have to attend another university and once I get a bachelor degree go there? If so what should I major in?
